Work Lunch: Deli Special Pasta from Goodness Gracious Gourmet
Hey Hey!! 4-day work week yay! To celebrate the short week, decided to go with some Deli Special Pasta from Goodness Gracious Gourmet (“GGG”).
Placed my order for lunch from Goodness Gracious Gourmet (“GGG”) last night because I did want to carry last and find out that orders foe the day had been maxed out. My order came right on time by 12pm today which I was totally happy about.
GGG is one of my lunchtime favs and I honestly don’t know why I haven’t shared reviews on their food here (checks archives and drafts) but I’ve shared a few images on Instagram like GGG’s Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken and Lasagne to mention a few. On the menu today from GGG was the Deli Special Pasta ~ Grilled Chicken and selected Deli Cuts of Smoked Parma Ham, Peppery Salami Milanese and Breasola in a Cream and White Wine Sauce with Linguine and Parmesean Shavings. Yum right? I was questioning my choice because I have not had very good experiences with creamy pasta in Lagos (besides the Pasta Alfredo from Bungalow Restaurant) and I actually jumped on it because I saw “Grilled Chicken” hoping it will be like the pieces from Delis LOL.
Presentation wise, GGG has stepped up from the foil packs to plastic packs which is neater and leaves little or no room for any mess or spills. The food came warm which was still an okay temperature to consume though I prefer piping hot food. On the surface, I could see very visible chicken bits and ham. As for the food, it was actually nice. I could tell she had out alot into getting the right mix for the sauce and I didn’t realize I had finished my food in 15 minutes – hunger is bad.

The grilled chicken pieces were very generous as opposed to how some may just have pieces on the top and that would be all but GGG was different with more than usual pieces of grilled chicken. I don’t remember seeing any peppery salami Milanese though but noticed some cuts of smoked parma ham which was used sparingly. But again when cut up the ham and salami are twins.
How Much? N2,000 and delivery charge of N500 – Not ideal for everyday chop chop
