Foodie in Lagos has been meaning to explore more spots on the mainland and in our hunt, for cool spots to put you on to, we found Alice Garden Restaurant. Itās located in GRA Ikeja. The restaurant has an Alice in Wonderland theme which is really refreshing and pretty. It is a sister restaurant to Hua Han – the Korean restaurant which we vlogged about here.
The restaurant is situated by the roadside on Oduduwa Way, but might be a little hard to miss so try to look out for the sign post as you drive when you visit. Alice Garden Restaurant offers a Chinese Fusion menu as well as a Nigerian menu (Ed note: lol she went to eat Nigerian food o)
On to the food! I had the Fried Croaker Fish in Pepper Sauce which cost ā¦7,500, this comes with a side of your choice. I wanted a side of their Nigerian Rice but it wasnāt available and the other options were boiled potatoes and fries so I settled for fries which wasnāt so bad, I think the pepper sauce complimented it well. The Fish was delicious! The plating wasnāt the most aesthetically pleasing but I totally recommend! I suggest you have it with rice though as I think that would have done a lot more justice to it š. I couldnāt finish it so I had it packed and this thing tasted even better later at night when I cleared it. Good stuff š.
For my drink I had the Tequila Sunrise which cost ā¦4,000, and had a nice orangey taste, I enjoyed this but I think it could have been better still. I feel like the orange juice to tequila ratio wasnāt proportionate if that makes sense. Iād give this a 6/10.
I enjoyed being in this space, it was really dreamy, the vibe was nice and the members of staff were polite. The restaurant has a VIP section on the inside which is set so beautifully and is suitable for events such as birthday parties etc. I give the overall experience here a solid 8/10š
